Cellpic Sunday Rainbow

Cellpic Sunday Rainbow

Firstly, I hope it’s ok to post on the cellpic Sunday tag as I am (clearly) not a photographer. Also, John, I hope I have followed your cellpic Sunday guidelines correctly.

The weather was interesting as I drove home today after visiting with my family. First, I drove up the mountain with the sun setting directly ahead while it was raining. Of all the interesting weather patterns I have encountered, including other sunny rainstorms, that one felt a bit special and unique.

As I continued to drive, I see the sun begin to sink close to a storm cloud line where it would eventually disappear, which was also stunning to see.

As I approached town, the clouds and sun created beautiful patterns, light, and shadows against the lush green hills. I was awe of that before I look to my left and there appeared the most complete, bright, and stunning rainbow I have ever seen.

I live in a rural area which made it easy to join the truck from Utah on the shoulder to snap a few photos.

I thought of all the photographers I follow here on WordPress and wondered what your images would have looked like.

I enjoy photography also, but am strictly an amateur…just use a cellphone.

Beautiful rainbows! You’ve followed the process for joining in perfectly. Unfortunately, for some reason, WordPress put your post in my SPAM folder. I’ve fixed that. Lately, I’ve seen several there. I’m not really sure why.
